My Body, My Trauma, My Self - Franz Ruppert and Harald Banzhaf

The influence of psychotrauma on physical health

Unhealed psychotrauma leaves scars in the body and can manifest as pain, inflammation, or illness. Each physical symptom can reveal a part of the unresolved life history. When the underlying traumas are healed, the body's self-healing capacity is supported.

In his extensive introductory chapter, Franz Ruppert demonstrates how the human psyche splits in response to overwhelming experiences, the consequences for our self-awareness and identity, and how psychotrauma and physical illness are inextricably linked. He introduces us to his own identity-oriented psychotrauma theory and therapy (IoPT), which uses the constellation method "constellation of desire" to bring traumas to consciousness and process them.

In his comprehensive introductory chapter, Harald Banzhaf, a physician, describes how traumatic stress affects our bodies. He bases his work on neurobiology and epigenetics, among other things.

The connection between physical signals, psyche and trauma is further clarified in 23 author contributions, discussing, among other things, chronic pain, cardiovascular diseases, back and joint pain, toothache, sleep disorders, sexual problems and certain types of cancer.

This book shows what Franz Ruppert's identity-oriented psychotrauma theory and therapy (IoPT) can contribute to the complete healing of humanity.
