The Lost Twin - Evelyne Steinemann
How Prenatal Loss Can Shape Our Lives
Many people struggle, often for years, with fear of abandonment, unexplained feelings of guilt, claustrophobia, or other unpleasant feelings. The underlying cause of their problems is often difficult to pinpoint, until it becomes clear what truly underlies these feelings: these people were separated from their twin brother or sister before birth, who died in the womb. Since then, they have suffered—usually unconsciously—from the consequences of this separation.
Evelyne Steinemann introduces you to this previously unknown and underestimated phenomenon: many more twin halves die unnoticed before birth than are actually born. Practical examples demonstrate the impact the trauma of such a loss can have on the rest of a person's life, and how this trauma can be overcome.
