The Greek sage used for smudge sticks is harvested in the southernmost tip of Europe, on the rocky, arid soil of Crete. The aromatic Salvia Fruticosa (formerly known as Salvia Triloba) is now commonly known as Greek sage. This sage is dried only and is ready for processing or use.

Greek Sage (Salvia Fruticosa) is probably the most fragrant sage, with a lovely fresh, fruity aroma and much milder than its North American counterpart.
